Hello, I am an experienced violin teacher and student at the Royal College of Music in London. I offer lessons from beginner to university level, either at your home or my own.

About Claire
I've been studying violin for 19 years and have been teaching violin as well as accompanying music theory and aural for 7 years, from beginner up to music university level. My students have achieved ABRSM merit from grades 1-8, and some have also gone on to pursue the violin in music university and professionally.

I teach ABRSM grades 1-8 in a style modelled after the Russian School, based on the technical curriculum of Galamian, Dont, Schradieck, and Kreutzer, amongst others. I usually teach in one hour slots, with a focus on crucial technical exercises and development. That being said, I engage fully with my students in choosing pieces they are enthusiastic about, and widening their musical potential and breadth with a varied repertoire.
