About Charles
I am now an engineer by trade, working in the academic/research field. I do tutoring as a way to give to back to students who feel like they may be falling behind and need an extra push. As I was once in that very situation at school, although I was never able to get tutoring so understand the immense struggle of having to learn all these new concepts alone.

I tailor my lessons to each students needs, whether that is a focus on learning and understanding new concepts; or developing examination techniques and critical thinking to apply knowledge to questions. I encourage all my students to engage throughout the lesson, by prompting them for explanations, while helping them provide the correct answers. I find this is very beneficial as a key aspect of efficient learning is having the confidence to first try and make mistakes, as this mindset often transcends just the lessons and students find the process more rewarding and often seek out more studying during their own time as well.
