About Elissa
I am a violist at Rice University pursuing my bachelor of music degree. I have received many honors, including being selected into the National Youth Orchestra of the USA two years in a row. I have taught students over the years, and have given group lessons and coachings.

My approach to teaching is trying to find the easiest way to do something possible. I am focused on technique, because I believe the key to musicianship is good setup. I like to spend a third of the lesson on technique, and the rest on repertoire.
