About Roger
As a member of the Las Vegas Musicians Union, I toured the United States playing trumpet. I taught music in both public and private schools over many years, grades k-12. The subjects ranged from Beginning band, Concert band, Wind Ensemble, Choir, Jazz band, Marching band, Music Appreciation. Additionally, I have formed and led Jazz combos, Jazz big bands, and dance bands. Additionally, I taught applied brass at the College of Santa Fe New Mexico. For the last five years, I have enjoyed teaching Piano and Trumpet online.

I have taught beginning to advanced students from 6 yrs to 84 in age. I always base my lesson plan on the ability and interest of my student. Whether a student is interested in classical music or more interested in performing jazz, my job is to provide them with the technical ability and music theory necessary. I believe the most important element is to keep the lessons fun and stress-free. I have accumulated an extensive library of music books, backing tracks, etc., that aid the student on their musical journey.
