About Kalindi

I can help your child(ren) where you feel they need that extra bit of help or if you want some more support in your home-schooling program. I have a wealth of experience and a calm and positive approach to teaching. My approach to each lesson is fully prepared and I will always adapt the lessons to try and help the student engage and improve.

About the lesson

I encourage a love for learning using discussions, games (if in person), exercises, activities, explicit instruction, inquiry, project-based learning, modeling of concepts and use of visual aids. Children have always given good feedback and love coming to my classes. Normal length of lesson is 1 hour and homework exercises can be given if requested. I can come to your house if you are local, or we can do lessons on Zoom. My strengths are art, English and Math especially helping students to read, write and spell using traditional methods. Lessons will begin with some assessments so I can obtain a clear understanding of what level the child is. I am in my last year of my Bachelor of Education degree and now have conditional accreditation. I have years of home-schooling experience with my children along with tutoring and mentoring many other children who are home-schooled. I am a mother of 6, and I am also a qualified kids yoga teacher who has a love for health, playing guitar, recorder, piano and ukulele (so can use music in the class also). I am charging $45 for an hour online class and $65 (includes travel cost) if attending your home. You may also be able to book into my homeschool hub 'My Place Primary' for classes, these will be charged at the $45 an hour rate or less for group classes.
