About Carrick
I have been competitively running for 9 years and coaching/mentoring collegiate runners for the past 2 years. As an individual runner, my most impressive achievements are my school record in the 8k (23:09), my cross country 10k (29:33), and my 5k and mile times (14:10 and 4:04, respectively). More important than these accolades are my feats as a coach—I led our team from last place in the Pac 12s in 2022 to 5th place in 2023, which was the largest one-year placement jump in conference history. Although these achievements are all examples of competitive, collegiate level running, the methods and ideology of improving at running are the exact same at every level of the sport. It's all about desire, commitment, and consistency.

I'm very process oriented—meaning I look at long term, big-picture goals and break down the daily processes that are needed to get there. Whether you're already competing at a high level or you're just beginning your running journey, I can write in-depth training plans, guide you through proper nutrition and recovery, and help you overcome the mental challenges that inevitably come with running.
