About Matthew
I am a recent Economics graduate with a 2:1 from the University of Nottingham looking to tutor A-level Maths, Further Maths and Economics. I have recent experience teaching Economics at Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School while working as a teaching assistant, teaching small groups of 1-6 students exam-related topics for A-level. I also have experience tutoring individuals Maths A-level and GCSE over the past few years. Having completed my A-levels relatively recently (2016) and achieving an A grade in Maths, Further Maths and Economics, I still have a grasp and understanding of the challenges students face and how to achieve top marks. My young age also helps me to connect with students, helping to keep them engaged.

Have experience teaching modules: C1-C1, M1-M3, S1-S2, FP1-FP2, D1-D2.
For three months I worked as a teaching assistant for Economics A level students at my previous school, Cardinal Vaughan. This involved taking small groups of 1-4 during their study periods and helping tutor them with exam technique and subject related issues. This helped improve the student’s confidence and knowledge heading into their A-level exams, and they were grateful for someone who had a different perspective, having taken A-levels recently, to help them with their studies during a time when the Economic department was struggling to find Economic teachers.
I also have experience tutoring Maths and Economics A-level to different students throughout my University Studies.
I am an enthusiastic and knowledgeable and tutor who can provide both an exam-focused and more rounded view of Economic and Mathematical topics to help students with University applications.
