About Martha
I tutor becauseI find a real joy in sharing an interest in English. I also want to encourage my students to feel safe in improving their skill-set by creating a non-judgmental space.
I have gotten verbal and written feedback from my tutees expressing their new-found enjoyment in a subject they may have dreaded even months before our lessons started.
I always maintain professional relationships with my students. I agree the boundaries of our tutor/tutee relationship in the first session and take this extremely seriously as an educator.

I teach English literature up to degree level. I give hour-long sessions on average, but can be flexible. I have tutored students in English up to A-level over the last five years.
I pride myself on providing tangible improvements, such as higher grades, and qualitative achievements by instilling a confidence in and passion for English.
A tailored approach is at the core of my methodology. I take time at the beginning of any tutor/tutee relationship to understand specific blockers, aims and interests before devising personalised lesson plans to maximise our time together.
