About Kruger

Hi, I'm Kruger! I moved to the UK when I was 13 to study, and since then, I’ve completed all my education here — from GCSEs and A-Levels to University and a Master's degree in Translation Studies. My journey has been deeply connected to language, and it’s something I’ve always loved. Growing up in a bilingual environment, I was naturally drawn to languages, and that passion led me to study Translation at a higher level. Understanding how language shapes communication and culture has always fascinated me, and I wanted to share this knowledge with others. What drives me to offer tutoring is my genuine love for teaching and helping people. I know how challenging it can be to learn a new language, and I find great satisfaction in guiding students through that process. Whether it’s improving your speaking, reading, or writing skills, I’m here to make learning enjoyable and rewarding. I believe in creating a supportive and relaxed learning environment where students feel confident to learn and grow.

Hi! I’m Kruger, a UK-based English tutor fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English. I’ve lived in the UK for over 10 years, where I completed my Master's degree in Translation Studies, which helped me develop a deep understanding of both English and Chinese. I’m not your typical academic tutor — I’m here to help you with real-life English! Whether it’s improving your speaking, getting better at reading, or feeling more confident when you write emails or messages, I specialise in helping Chinese speakers get comfortable with English in everyday situations. I focus on practical English that you can use when: - Chatting with friends or colleagues - Ordering food or shopping - Travelling or navigating daily life - Writing simple but effective messages or emails I know how difficult it can be to learn a new language, and I’m here to make it fun, friendly, and relaxed. I love talking to people and creating a comfortable space where we can learn together. My students often tell me that I’m approachable, personable, and easy to talk to, which makes a big difference in building confidence and having enjoyable lessons. My goal is to make you feel confident in English, not just know it. I explain things clearly and make sure every lesson is tailored to your level and goals. I also bring in a little cultural context to make the language feel more natural for you.
