About Syd
I have been devoted to the practice and teachings of Yoga since 2016. I am seasoned in styles such as Yin, Yang Yin, Hatha, Vinyasa, Gentle Yoga, Chair Yoga, Aqua Yoga, Kids Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Qi Gong, as well as various breathwork, meditation and mindfulness techniques. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500, E-RYT200) studying under the guidance of accomplished Yoga Teachers including, but not limited to, Atma and Sharman Okan of Ashram Yoga New Zealand, Leslie Kaminoff and Dianne Bondy.

I am passionate human committed to inspiring folks through their own journey of self acceptance, growth, connectedness and inner peace through movement, mindfulness, meditation and intention. As a queer, non-binary human, I understand how intimidating and inaccessible yoga can feel, so I strive to create a safe space for folks of any and all identities to dive into their practice and healing journeys. My teachings are rooted in an anti-oppressive, anti-racist, anti-diet, body neutral, and gender neutral framework. Together, we can use the practice of Yoga as a means to the fight for social justice, while simultaneously cultivating inner peace and unstruck self love.
