About Lindsay
Before working in finance, I served in the Canadian Navy as a Naval Warfare Officer where I developed mathematical models for naval strategy and tactics. What this means for you is that I am accustomed to thinking about things in a different way than many tutors do; I view the world as a problem that can be solved and I hope to impart upon my students that same way of thinking.

I believe that we learn best by doing, so I am always trying to inject real world examples when discussing problems and concepts so that students aren't merely memorizing models and structures from their textbooks but rather see how economics can be reflected in the real world. What I bring to the table as a quantitative finance professional who has worked on the trading floor, is that I myself have used economics concepts and principles myself at work and I think about economics in my current job everyday. I bring that real world experience to the table so that students can appreciate intuitively what all this economics stuff really means and how it works.

He is patient and can simplify concepts to make it easily digestible! He understands math concepts very well and is very proficient in what he does.
Lindsay is an incredible tutor who really knows what he's talking about.. unlike so many other tutors I've seen. i could not for the life of me understand how to derive a function in Calc1 no matter how many prof office hours i went to and math tutorials I attended, but now I finally understand them and was able to actually PASS my calculus final. 10/10 tutor!!!
