About Valerie
My studio motto is relaxed, fun and engaging. I want students to study piano and music theory with the ultimate goal that they can create their own music. That could be composition or improvisation. Maybe you want to collaborate with other musicians or arrange music in your style. I’ve been teaching piano since 1993. I have decades of experience and teaching skills to help you individually. I enjoy creating lessons that are light hearted and yet full of quality instruction. I am constantly involved in professional development and in using the latest tech to help you learn. I’d love to visit with you and find out if we’d be a good fit!

As an Experienced teacher I have a number of methods and techniques in my toolbox. This allows me to tailor lessons for you. One size definitely does not fit all! I am a certified teacher of Music with the Music Teachers National Association. Online lessons will be held through the Rock Out Loud platform. Lessons are available in 30 and 45 minute time slots. Best for students age 10 and up. Beginner through Intermediate. Adults welcome!
