About Edward
I am a qualified GA Level 3 TEFL Tutor (Teaching English as a Foreign Language )
Languages itself is a fundamental aspect of my life and I am fascinated in the communication of language and interactions of individuals. As well as having a passion for teaching.
I was born and raised in England however I have an Eastern European background ( Moldovan-Ukranian parents). Therefore I am bi-lingual with English being my native language and am able to speak fluently in Russian with a Moldovan dialect as well as having a basic pronounciation/understanding of Moldovan, Ukranian and Romanian.
I have taught and worked as an English assistant at a boarding school in Uganda ( with as many as 50-70 children in a classroom).

Generally, my teaching is simple, understandable. I try to make the students as comfortable as possible and aim to make the lesson engaging, interesting so that the pupils will also have more motivation in the study of English.

I became aware of Edward’s violin lessons after being recommended through a friend. Edward is a competent music teacher. He is very sympathetic and understanding with his pupils. He speaks to them in a way that is engaging and polite. The lessons are a nice balance of theory and practice and Edward keeps the pace going to avoid boredom and loss of interest. My daughter has learnt a great deal from him.
Edward taught our daughter violin and at the same time, once my husband and I showed interest in learning too, Edward kindly spent some extra time to giving my husband and I tips so that we could learn at the same time. Edward has always gone beyond the expected level of teaching. We are very grateful for all his efforts. His fun and enjoyable way of teaching combined with his patience and skills are extremely rare!
