About Suzi
My name is Suzi, and I am a friendly, patient, and enthusiastic Biology teacher who loves helping students discover the fascinating world of science. I can also teach KS3 & KS4 for both Physics and Chemistry. I have a BSc in Biology (First with Honours) and hold a PGCE and have classroom teaching experience, which means I understand the challenges students face and know how to guide them through tricky concepts with clarity and encouragement. As a person, I am approachable and supportive — I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and confident in their progress. I enjoy making lessons engaging by linking Biology to real-life examples, which helps students see its relevance and makes learning more memorable. My lessons usually last an hour and are tailored to the individual, whether the goal is to build confidence, prepare for GCSE and A-Level exams, or stretch beyond the curriculum. I have worked with students of all abilities and take pride in helping each one achieve their personal best. Above all, I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and inspired to succeed. I enjoy learning and am currently undertaking an MSc in Clinical Microbiology & Infectious disease with University of Edinburgh.

I believe every student can achieve success in Science with the right support, so my lessons are designed to build confidence as well as knowledge. I use clear explanations, exam-style practice questions, and interactive techniques to break down complex ideas into manageable steps. Lessons typically last one hour and are personalised to meet each student’s needs, whether that’s improving understanding of core concepts, preparing for assessments, or stretching high achievers. I am a Biology specialist with a PGCE and classroom teaching experience, confident in teaching across the secondary curriculum. I currently work with students preparing for GCSE and A-Level exams, but also support younger learners who want to strengthen their scientific foundations. My lessons are well suited for students of all abilities, including those who benefit from extra support with literacy or study skills.

My rates as a Qualified Teacher with QTS & PGCE status is £30 per hour for GCSE level (all sciences). Biology A-Level rate is £40 per hour. I cover a 10km radius from Sittingbourne with no travel charge. Tutoring is available across the UK online.
