About Tim
I am a qualified secondary science teacher with 25 years’ experience teaching students of different ages and abilities. I am currently Head of a large Science faculty. I understand that many students can find science challenging, so I aim to make lessons clear, calm and encouraging. My priority is to build confidence, strengthen understanding and help students feel more prepared for school assessments and GCSE exams.

My approach to tutoring is supportive, clear and confidence-building. I begin by identifying gaps in knowledge, then use explanation, questioning, modelling and exam-style practice to help students improve. Lessons are typically 60 minutes. I am a qualified secondary science teacher with 25 years’ experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Science. My lessons are suitable for secondary school students, particularly those needing extra support, revision, exam technique or help building confidence in Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
