About Charlie
Teaching is my second career. I also have 30+ years’ experience working in engineering, software development and information technology, and I use this knowledge to relate learning to real-world skills and employment opportunities. For 12 years, I was a Director at an IT Services company.
I hold an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, and A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
My Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) was achieved at Nottingham Trent University.

Perfect! Friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. Worked out exactly which areas I need to focus on and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable when I got it wrong. Can’t exactly say I’m going to love maths but Charlie is going to make it less unpleasant

I have known Charlie for more than 5 years as a friend and fellow golfer. I have worked with him as part of the management process of the golf club and found him to be a highly talented and capable person. His communication skills are of a very high order and attention to detail is highly developed.
