About Jacob
I am Newly Qualified Primary School Teacher specialising in ages 5-11. I currently have limited experience teaching private lessons, but have experience teaching large groups and enabling students to reach their potential. I have a sound understanding of the curriculum. My undergrad degree is in history and I have a level one coaching qualification in rugby.

I believe in a scaffolding approach to teaching and learning, this means I allow learners to explore whilst learning rather than being dictated to. My style of teaching differs depending of the needs of who I am teaching. I will speak to the learners and act upon the advice they give me and tweek my delivery lesson to lesson so that we are learning well. Before I plan for a topic, I will get an understanding of what students already know so the sessions I teach are so the lessons cover the major gaps in students understanding.
