About Grainne

Choosing the right tutor can make a real difference to a child’s educational journey. With a degree in Primary Education with Physical Education from St Mary’s University College Belfast, I have a strong foundation in primary education and an understanding of the skills children need to succeed throughout their school years.

I decided to undertake my degree in Physical Education due to my deep love and passion for all sports. Through playing and coaching, I have been able to further understand the need for perseverance, passion and commitment in everything I do. 

My teacher training has equipped me with the knowledge to support children at different stages of their development and recognise the importance of building strong foundations in core subjects. I am committed to helping pupils overcome challenges, celebrate their achievements and develop skills they can carry forward into the classroom.

I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their child is receiving quality support. I take my role seriously and aim to provide a reliable, professional and positive learning experience for every pupil.

As a qualified primary school teacher, I understand that every child learns differently. My aim is to create a supportive, engaging and encouraging environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and developing a love of learning.

My teaching approach is tailored to each child’s individual needs, ability and learning style. I use clear explanations, practical examples, interactive activities and positive encouragement to help children understand new concepts and develop their skills. I can adapt lessons to support schoolwork, reinforce classroom learning or focus on specific areas where a child may need extra help.

Lessons typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on the child’s age, concentration and individual needs. Each session will be planned around the child’s learning goals, with opportunities to practise skills, ask questions and review progress.

I hold a degree in Primary Education with Physical Education from St Mary’s University College Belfast. My teacher training has given me the knowledge and practical skills to support children’s learning, adapt teaching approaches and create positive learning experiences.

I offer online tutoring for primary school children who would benefit from additional support in English, maths or general schoolwork. Whether your child needs help understanding a particular topic, strengthening their foundations or building confidence in the classroom, I will work with them at their own pace to help them reach their potential.

My goal is to make learning enjoyable, build confidence and help every child feel proud of their progress.
