About Roisin
I am a fully qualified Primary School teacher, looking to provide online one-to-one tutoring for your child of Primary School age.
My most recent role was as a Year 1 primary school teacher. I have over 9 years of teaching and childcare experience. This has been in a variety of ages, abilities and settings; ranging from Early Years to Year 6 and including those with special educational and behavioural needs.

I will aim to assess your child's current level and find the areas in which progress is most needed. If you prefer, I am able to focus on specific areas that you as a parent or carer can request. Whether it is phonics, grammar, an area of mathematics or just general daily homework support.
I am Read Write Inc trained, which is a very well structured approach to developing phonics. This is an important foundation for all other subjects areas, particularly reading and writing.
Each lesson starts with a recap of previous learning, with this I am able to decide if the child is ready to move forward. Every session is finished with a form of assessment, this might be a fun quiz or just a simple chat.
