Find out more about Manasa

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Physiotherapy became more than just a field of study for me when I realized how much movement affects every part of a person’s life. I developed a strong interest in understanding the human body, posture, pain management, rehabilitation, and recovery. During my learning journey and clinical exposure, I saw how physiotherapy can help people regain confidence, reduce pain, and return to their daily activities naturally. This inspired me to continue learning and sharing my knowledge with students in a simple and practical way.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My biggest motivation is the satisfaction of helping others understand concepts that once felt difficult to them. I have always enjoyed explaining topics in a simple and relatable manner. Teachers and mentors who guided me during my academic journey inspired me to teach with patience and clarity. I believe good teaching can build confidence, improve skills, and positively shape a student’s future.
  • How does your work help society?

Physiotherapy plays an important role in improving quality of life. Through teaching, I help students build strong foundational knowledge and practical understanding, which can later help them care for patients more effectively. By spreading awareness about posture, movement, rehabilitation, and injury prevention, physiotherapy contributes to healthier lifestyles and better recovery outcomes for people of all age groups.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I admire teachers and healthcare professionals who combine knowledge with compassion. Rather than following only one person, I am inspired by professionals who focus on patient-centered care and lifelong learning. Their dedication, communication skills, and ability to make a difference in people’s lives motivate me to continuously improve myself both as a learner and as a teacher.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

Outside teaching, I enjoy storytelling, reading, content creation, and improving my communication skills. I am also interested in creating educational and engaging content related to physiotherapy and general awareness. I enjoy learning new ways to present information creatively and connecting with people through meaningful conversations and ideas.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

One memorable experience was helping a student who initially struggled to understand anatomy concepts and lacked confidence before exams. Instead of only focusing on memorization, I explained the topics using simple examples and practical understanding. Gradually, the student became more confident, started enjoying the subject, and performed much better academically. Seeing that transformation reminded me that teaching is not only about delivering information, but also about encouraging confidence and curiosity in students.
