I have been taking lessons with Masa-san for almost two years now, and I am very pleased with my progress in Japanese thus far. I managed to establish a very good rapport with him from the start and was able to communicate my specific goals in learning Japanese. I especially appreciate his insight into Japanese cultural nuances and navigations of everyday language extending beyond the JLPT requirements. He is also able to explain concepts in English really well, so that the proper context and explanations are carried across. I truly look forward to my lessons as Masa-san returns the same enthusiasm in creating lots of learning opportunities through conversations and answering all my questions in a relaxed, non-judgemental environment. I really recommend Masa-san for any level or prior exposure to Japanese/Japan. I find that I am working with not just a teacher, but also a teammate, which has been so crucial in continuing my passion in studying!!
