About Kaylee
I hated playing the same classical pieces for piano classes every year of my 15 years of piano experience. But I love playing my favorite songs from movies and pop culture. Above all, I wish more people LOVED music and didn't get bogged down by the technicalities it involves. I hear any song on the radio now and I'll be able to replay it on the piano and sing along. I'd love to impart that skill to others as well. You don't have to worry about doing scales or sight reading. My lessons will be about showing people that you don't need advanced technical skills to make beautiful music.

My goal is to help you play songs you love by ear, find your own style, and compose your own music. A typical lesson plan will look like you bringing a piece of music (pop song, musical piece, etc.) and we will 1) learn the chords together, 2) variate the song into different styles, 3) improvise adding a section to the song. We will do that with a few songs. In the final stage, you will learn to compose your own song with the skills you've accumulated. I can play and transpose by ear and have been trained to improvise and variate songs into different genre styles (jazz, salsa, drama, etc.). My lessons are for people with basic piano theory knowledge and experience.
