I've known Koren both as a classroom teacher and tutor as she has often help me update my subject knowledge. She has years worth of experience in the maths curriculum for all levels of secondary school and multiple exam boards. I am continuously impressed by the challenging objectives and effective lessons she sets her classes regardless of ability, along with the care she takes to address the individual needs of all children in the classroom. For the purposes of tutoring, she has deep subject knowledge for GCSE and A-level and is very good at modelling her thought process clearly both in written working and deep/varied questioning. She checks regularly for understanding, adapting her lesson tasks quickly to the needs of the child, and independent practice is given sufficient time to engage in rigorous and challenging work. I am also impressed with the trusting and candid relationships she has with parents and guardians.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Miss Sullivan as a maths tutor. Not only is she a very gifted mathematician in her own right she is also an extremely accomplished and experienced teacher. I found myself fully engaged and the time flew by. She took me through difficult algebra and trigonometry problems, explaining them in very accessible and fun manner. I noticed an immediate deepening in my understanding of topics and I was chuffed to bits to be able to apply this knowledge to extension questions that always confused me. I had previously found it difficult to find a tutor with the ability to leave me feeling as though I could smash any problem, until I found Miss Sullivan.

Her passion is evident, which really encouraged me to engage much more into our sessions. If I could rate her out of 10, I would easily give an 11, as she truly went above and beyond to support my individual needs, and I think we were both chuffed when I received an A for my A-Level Maths.
