About Matthew
I am an experienced college maths lecturer, specialising in GCSE and Level 3 Maths for secondary school and post-16 students. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong problem-solving skills, and achieve excellent results.

My teaching approach focuses on building strong mathematical understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills. I also emphasise exam technique, showing students how to structure answers, avoid common mistakes, and manage their time effectively. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged if needed. Lessons usually begin with a review of previous topics, followed by new material, guided practice, and independent exercises to reinforce learning.
