About Lauren
I am a fully qualified and registered primary school teacher based in Melbourne, with extensive classroom experience teaching students from Foundation to Year 6. I have a strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and a proven ability to support students across a wide range of academic abilities, from those needing targeted intervention to those seeking extension and enrichment.
Throughout my teaching career, I have prioritized building positive relationships, creating safe learning environments and maintaining high professional standards. I take a warm, structured and personalised approach to tutoring, tailoring each session to the individual needs, goals and learning style of the student. As a qualified primary school teacher with classroom experience from Foundation to Year 6, I use evidence-based teaching strategies aligned with the Victorian Curriculum. My lessons focus on explicit teaching, guided practice and independent application, ensuring students build both skill and confidence. I incorporate hands-on materials, targeted revision, and engaging activities to keep learning purposeful and enjoyable.
Lessons typically run with time for revision, new learning and consolidation. My tutoring is designed for primary-aged students (Foundation to Year 6) who need support in Literacy and/or Numeracy, extension to challenge high achievers, or help building confidence and strong academic foundations.
