About Kirsty
London-based designer with experience across different creative disciplines. Alongside an education and career that have specifically focused on fashion design I also have a deep-rooted interest and additional experience across many different aspects of design and beauty. I think this experience is invaluable for current students. I have a particular interest in research and portfolio presentation and love the process of perfecting a layout and creating a coherent style. I am also able to give advice on basic pattern cutting and sewing including fabric selection advice and construction processes. I have lived in London for a long time now and know where to go to get all the materials needed for a successful design project.

First we will have a 30-minute consultation over the phone to assess your current strengths and challenges. Then we will create a plan of action outlining how best for you to approach the project you want to work on. I would like to recommend Kirsty to anyone who is looking to further their knowledge in research, design and technical development in fashion studies. With her experimental and process led approach to teaching, keen eye for aesthetics and a mature understanding of contexts, Kirsty creates an invaluable learning experience for her students and I can recommend her without any reservations.
Kirsty is an excellent tutor with a breadth of knowledge in research, design and technical development. Her keen interest in contexts married with an eye for aesthetics helps her guide the briefs with a contemporary lens.
