About Jaye
I am a Qualified and Fluent Languages Teacher and have a High 2:1 degree in modern languages (French, Spanish and Portuguese) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. I teach French and Spanish from beginner to to degree level for ALL ages in both individual or group lessons.
I am very flexible in my teaching approach and work closely with students to establish goals and how best to achieve them. I take pride in my ability to evaluate learner`s needs and to adapt teaching methods to suit. I am friendly, patient and enthusiastic about my languages and enjoy using a range of teaching approaches in order to teach a real undersanding of languages rather than teaching set phrases.
I write a lot of my own materials and have a quite a collection of text books and exam papers to suit all examination boards.
I have tutored on and off for five years and believe I have a pretty good insght into how people learn and howbest to adapt my approach to suit every individual. I currently teach both adults and school pupils for examnation preparation, holiday language, career or business language or to offer extra support to a pupil`s language lessons a school (in this situation, I can work with the school teacher).
I have taught in both mainstream state and private schools teaching key stages 3-5 and have travelled and lived in Spain, France and South America myself so understand how to tailor lessons for travellers or gap year students.
I am happy to discuss my approaches prior to any lesson and welcome messages or calls for peace of mind.
