About Jessie Lee
I studied a Bachelor's in Drama at the University of Stellenbosch before transferring to Rhodes University to do my Honors specializing in Physical Theatre and Choreography. I then completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Education with Drama and English as my teaching subjects. I have spent the past 13 years teaching Drama at two IEB schools in South Africa and am an IEB Gr 12 marker. I am passionate about theatre and love creating work. I have extensive experience preparing Gr 12 pupils for the demands of the IEB Gr 12 Final practical and theory examinations. I believe Drama is a subject that teaches its pupils how to be better people in an ever-changing world.

I aim to ensure that all lessons are tailored to each pupil's specific need. Whether the focus is theory or practical, lessons will be dynamic and engaging. The best learning comes through engagement and finding ways to make content tangible. Practical lessons can involve recorded and/or live performances. These lessons are flexible and are designed to meet the needs of the pupil, rather than remaining rigid and expecting pupils to fit into them.
I have extensive experience preparing pupils for performances and can also help coach audition pieces or any other practical work that you may need direction.
