About Rebecca
I have a Ph.D. and M.A. in Art History, a B.F.A. in Painting/Drawing, and 15+ years teaching at the college level. My writing has been published in academic journals and books and I have experience working with learners of all ages, from Kindergarten and up. I taught art history as an adjunct at NYU and several CUNY schools before earning tenure at Governors State University, where I taught Art History for 8 years.
My teaching experience ranges from 1-on-1 mentorship to giant lecture halls, so over the years I've learned many tricks to engage students in different settings, such as play or game-based learning and hands-on activities. It's all about building that relationship in a 1-on-1 setting so that I tailor my lessons to the learner's needs and interests.
