Sophie helped me prepare for a professional speaking commitment at an international work conference. It was not a prospect I relished but with Sophie's skill, huge experience as well as enthusiasm and energy, I learnt how to manage pre-nerves and to convey confidence and authority. I would highly recommend Sophie as an excellent public speaking coach.

I have had to give two quite different speeches recently, to a large number of people, including royalty. As a woman in her sixties with no grounding in public speaking I was very apprehensive but Sophie was incredibly helpful, helping me with my breathing, and articulation as well as overcoming my nerves and I received high praise entirely due to her tuition. She patiently taught me how to suppress my anxiety and how best to deliver my lines. I could not recommend her more highly.

Ms. Shaw taught me for five years as part of my LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts). She was a reliable and dedicated teacher, who would give as much time as possible to allow her students to achieve their best. She was also a reliable teacher who developed good relationships with her students as a mentor as well.

Sophie has been the fundamental inspiration behind all of my dramatic work, whether that be theoretical or practical based. Her genuine devotion to the art is infectious and her knowledge and experience is second to none.
Sophie guided and nurtured me through all 8 LAMDA exams gaining a distinction in each, and these results are not only unique to me. The time and effort she puts into each of her pupils is remarkable, and I can say with great confidence that you will not find a better teacher.
Aside from her teaching, Sophie is one of the kindest and most caring people that I have ever met, and these qualities really play a huge part in her success.
I cannot recommend Sophie more highly, and I will always cherish the teaching that she gave me.

My acting lesson with Sophie Shaw were a truly amazing experience. She taught me acting for 6 years and I could not have wished for a better teacher. She was knowledgeable, patient, supportive and went the extra mile for her students. Her lessons helped my confidence grow, not just in my acting, but in myself as a person. Sophie helped me achieve a destination at gold medal yet she is not just a talented teacher, but kind and compassionate one.

Sophie Shaw has taught me LAMDA for 5 years, she was an exceptional tutor and never failed in her encouragement, words of inspiration and motivation she went above and beyond to prepare and tutor me for the exams. She inspires confidence in all of her students and she has been integral to my development as a young performer and woman. She taught me grades 4,5 and Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Sophie has been coaching me to help overcome my nervousness at public speaking. I have to stand up and speak wearing a mic to several hundred people in the next few days and I really want to get my message across.

Sophie has helped with every aspect of the job in hand - posture, breathing, where to look, intonation, clarity and pacing of speech, along with some great advice on how to structure my talk - I'm a professional writer but still found I had lots to learn.

Sophie is just as great at coaching adults like me as she is with youngsters and I'm really glad I went to her.

Her long experience of teaching and expertise has been invaluable. She is warm and understanding, positive and fun to learn with. I have greatly enjoyed my time with her and my techniques are improving in leaps and bounds.

Sophie taught me LAMDA from the age of 13 through to 18. When I started with Sophie, the thought of standing in front of anybody and performing, let alone in exam conditions, terrified me. However, by working on not only my confidence, but also other areas such as diction, understanding a script in-depth, connecting to characters on multiple levels and so much more I managed to achieve a distinction in LAMDA Gold Award all whilst feeling like I was having fun and doing something I enjoyed. Sophie was amazing, she made me feeling really comfortable and most importantly, showed me what I was capable of. We looked into all areas of acting and my understanding of the process was enhanced dramatically. I have never enjoyed the process of exams (as I am sure few do) however, I must admit that I really looked forward to my lessons and exams with Sophie. Everything she taught me I have been able to carry through into my working life, as I work in production and spend a lot of my time presenting to and communicating with clients.

I have been doing public speaking with Sophie for the last four years, and I have absolutely loved it. Sophie has been a huge help, and has taught me to develop my speech writing and delivery skills. She has helped me, in a thorough and fun way, to express myself. Public speaking has boosted my confidence immensely and I look forward to taking my Silver exam later on this year.
