About Emily
Hi everyone! My name is Emily, and I am a junior at Liberty University studying Homeland Security and Criminal Psychology. I am 21 and have had a passion for reading, proper literature, and public speaking for my whole life, starting in elementary school when I had a speech delay and an IEP for reading. I had gotten tutoring at the age of ten and had been thankful ever since to have become a better reader and now speak without my impediment and want to give back what I have learned through my journey to where I am today.
I love to work with students ages 5-13 who are still in their development with oral, reading, grammar, and spelling skills, as well as presentation skills. Having a solid foundation at a young age will help your student prosper independently when the time comes for high school and college.
My strongest suit is in communication and english literature. I cater to students who have a desire to grow with reading, proper spelling, and reading comprehension.
I also require an initial consultation with the family and child prior to tutoring to assess a student where they are at, what needs are met, and how I can best help your student to make them feel most comfortable.
