About Megan

Hi! I am a first-year graduate student at San Francisco State University and I have taken a writing class every year of my education since I was in middle school! I excelled in AP English and have aced all my technical writing classes, including advanced composition, research reports, APA-style writing, and journal entries. I am currently working on my Master's thesis so I am constantly writing. I give my full attention to each student I tutor and want them to feel confident in their reading and successful in their reading comprehension abilities.

About the lesson

I am patient and understand the frustrations of working with a tutor who doesn't recognize the individual's needs. I create individualized lesson plans that include reading plus comprehension questions that we go through together. I have various strategies to increase comprehension as well that I will introduce to my students. These lesson plans can be tailored to any student at all reading levels from elementary to high school.
