-BSc Psychology with a Diploma in Professional Practice Graduate (2:1) and current MSc Health Psychology student.
-Spent my placement year mentoring 36 PASS (Peer Assisted Study Sessions) Leaders
-An active BPS member with my graduate membership (MBPsS) and Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC).
-I have certificates for additional statistics training which I have successfully completed in addition to my degree (in both Descriptive Statistics and General Linear Model (ANOVA, MANOVA, Factor Analysis and Regressions).
-I have been commended on multiple occasions for my teaching style; breaking everything down into simple pieces and building it up again. I found that this allows for a much deeper understanding, and its the technique I use to learn myself!

During my undergraduate Psychology degree, I was often mentoring those in the years below me. However, when I got to final year, I began tutoring those in the years below on a more formal basis. I'm currently studying MSc Health Psychology, and have been mentoring others in the course. My approach is not feeding answers, it is more about active learning and giving you the skills and knowledge so that you can arrive at the answers yourself.
I like to use the technique I personally learnt best with - I break it down to simple, easy to digest pieces, and then we can work together to build it right back up again. I find that this helps to ensure you have a solid understanding of the concepts/methods, which you can apply to other aspects of your course! It also gives you a confidence boost when you can approach a problem and know how to 'attack' it without fear.
