Hello, my name is Shahana. I am a dedicated educator with over six years of hands-on experience within the UK school system, combining a degree in Psychology with proven expertise as an SEN Teaching Assistant. My academic background gives me a deep understanding of children's cognitive development, memory, and how to manage learning anxiety, allowing me to deliver highly effective, tailored lessons for primary and secondary pupils. My Techniques & Teaching Methodology:
Because no two minds learn the exact same way, I do not believe in a "one-size-fits-all" approach. My methodology combines my background in Psychology with hands-on SEN (Special Educational Needs) strategies to create a supportive, high-impact learning environment.
I use a step-by-step approach to break tough maths and science concepts into simple. Through interactive digital whiteboards and fun quizzes, I keep lessons engaging while transforming mistakes into positive learning moments. I also provide tailored English and Tamil language support to help new students thrive in the UK school system.
Duration: Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, which is the optimal sweet spot for maintaining focus and retention for Key Stage 1–3 students.
