About David
My name is David and I have been playing the piano for over 30 years. It is a daily joy for me and my teaching goal is to pass on that joy.
I have a teaching family tree that takes me back through 8 generations to Beethoven. It’s a fun fact that people love to know.
My main background is classical piano but I also love to play jazz. I’m also an classical and theatre organist and my musical tastes are wide and varied.
I live near the medieval city of Norwich in the UK and have a small Dachshund called Daphne.

I focus my approach on the individual. There’s no set pathway to learning or one approach for all, I know we all learn very differently and work with my pupils to find that way for them.
The musical results that my advanced pupils achieve are very pleasing to me. I hear such great development in their expressiveness and confidence through thorough exploration of scores, composers intent and encouraging experimentation.
