About Paige
My passion for programming began with curiosity about creating solutions through logical processes. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science, where I gained a deep understanding of algorithms, programming languages, and software development principles. Over 12 years, I have taught learners of all ages, helping them grow from basic coding knowledge to advanced problem-solving and project execution.
I approach teaching with patience, adaptability, and clarity, ensuring lessons cater to individual needs. I use guided exercises, hands-on projects, and real-world examples to reinforce understanding while encouraging independent thinking. My focus is on building both competence and confidence, making coding an approachable and rewarding experience.
Outside teaching, I stay current with programming trends, emerging frameworks, and new technologies. This allows me to enrich lessons with practical, up-to-date examples and prepare students for real-world challenges. Watching learners transform uncertainty into mastery, develop critical thinking, and create their own programmes is immensely satisfying. Supporting students in realising their full potential in programming continues to motivate and inspire my teaching every day.

Computer programming lessons are designed to cultivate logical thinking, problem-solving, and software development skills while maintaining an approachable and engaging learning experience. Lessons emphasise understanding the underlying logic and reasoning behind each programme, rather than rote memorisation, allowing learners to develop confidence and independence in coding.
Beginners focus on variables, loops, conditions, and basic function creation, learning to build simple yet functional programmes while gaining confidence in coding logic. Intermediate learners advance to data structures, modular programming, file handling, and algorithmic problem-solving, integrating structured thinking with practical project work. Advanced learners explore complex algorithms, optimisation, API development, and project management, preparing them for academic, professional, or competitive programming challenges. Each lesson incorporates exercises, practical projects, guided troubleshooting, and conceptual discussion to reinforce learning and foster critical thinking.
Programming develops analytical thinking, creativity, and structured problem-solving skills. Students gain confidence in transforming ideas into functioning software, improve attention to detail, and learn to approach complex challenges methodically.
