About Vincenzo
With over a decade of classroom experience spanning three school boards (grades 5 - 12) and two colleges, I know what it takes to help learners of all backgrounds succeed. I hold an Ontario Teaching Certificate, a TEFL Level 5 Certificate, ESL qualifications and a Master of Arts — so you're not just getting enthusiasm, you're getting verified, professional expertise.
I've spent years teaching at the post-secondary level; I am also a professional drummer, composer, and recording artist who has toured Canada, the United States, and Europe, I understand firsthand how language, culture, and communication are deeply connected and enjoy weaving those elements into my lessons. That real-world perspective shapes how I teach.
I always appreciate your curiosity and celebrate your progress. I'm honest about areas to improve, and I always show up prepared. Whether this is your first English lesson or you're polishing skills you've had for years, you'll leave every session feeling more capable than when you arrived.
Your growth is my goal — and I take that seriously.

English Language Tutor – ESL/EFL | Certified Teacher | College Professor
As an Ontario Certified Teacher with a TEFL Level 5 Certificate and a Master of Arts, I bring structured, student-centered learning to every session. My approach blends communicative language teaching with real-world context — we don't just study English, we use it. I like to weave the arts into my lesson plans.
A typical lesson begins with a warm-up conversation to build confidence, followed by targeted skill work in reading, writing, listening, or speaking based on your personal goals. I use authentic materials — songs, news articles, podcasts, films — to make lessons relevant and engaging, and every session closes with clear feedback and a roadmap for next steps.
What sets me apart is over a decade of post-secondary teaching at several Canadian Colleges, combined with hands-on experience across school boards. I've worked with learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and I understand that language learning is deeply personal.
These lessons are ideal for adult learners and young adults seeking conversational fluency, academic English preparation, workplace communication, or general ESL/EFL improvement — at any level from beginner to advanced. Whether you're new to English or refining your professional voice, I'll meet you exactly where you are.

Vincenzo is a wealth of knowledge and inspiration. His teaching style is deliberate and you can tell he cares deeply about anything to do with music. I never felt confused or overwhelmed, the way he helps explain things is easy to follow with a relaxed vibe. My hand drumming improved significantly and I no longer feel like a beginner. Thank you V!
