About Marcy
I am a native English speaker with a PhD in English from the United States. I have over eight years of experience working in the field of education within the United States. I have been formally trained in teaching foreign languages and advanced communication in English. I have been an instructor at both American and Spanish universities, offering courses in foreign languages, writing and composition, and literature. Throughout my career, I have worked at some of the most prestigious institutions in the United States, including the University of North Carolina and Vanderbilt University.

I offer classes for students of all ages, from beginner to advanced. I will work with you to design a learning experience fully aligned with your goals. If you want to develop your skills in the business sector or need the language for specific situations, I offer advanced English communication and writing classes. If you are considering studying in the USA, I will help you learn how to successfully navigate the American university system and its admissions processes. Regardless of your level, we will communicate in English from day one in a total immersion environment. My teaching methods emphasize the use of authentic contexts and scaffolding. I follow the recommendations of the ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages), which are supported by peer-reviewed studies on foreign language acquisition.
