About Matthew
I have a Bachelor's degree in professional writing and have worked as a freelance journalist covering high school sports. I am passionate about journalism but my first love is creative writing. I love helping people craft compelling stories whether in fiction or non-fiction. My teaching method is to seek to understand where my student is at and then help them develop the tools they need to succeed.

My approach to teaching is to be a learner myself. My first priority is figuring out what's important to my students and what obstacles are keeping them from reaching their goals. I strive to help my students master skills and become problem solvers, not just memorize steps.
