• When and why did you develop an interest in your chosen field?

  I owe my interest to my father's medical books collections as he worked as Pharmacist. I remember while being in school (grade 7 onwards)I used to get lost in the vivid pictures of various diseased conditions in the medical books, simple yet self-explanatory definitions to various medical terms in Oxford Medical Dictionary. These made me interested in Life sciences. Although I never planned on it but it came on its own over the period of time.

• What makes you passionate about your subject?

  I remember my own student life when I felt overwhelmed with new terminology and concepts of Biology. I had been fortunate enough to have couple of very good professors because of whom I found subjects very interesting on which I earlier felt like 'this is not my cup of tea, I cant do it'. How my perception and understanding changed because someone brought those concepts in a creative and digestible manner was incredible experience for me. And realizing this fact, I found my love and passion in teaching that comes from internal experience and realization.

• What do you like about tutoring? What makes you a "Superprof"?

  Seeing my students filled with surprising and exciting expressions after understanding and finding reasons behind the things they see happening outside and inside fills me with energy to keep going with tutoring. The best part of tutoring is when I see my students succeeding in their studies and career goals, which make me feel proud. I understand that I am just a catalyst in their journeys to help them achieve their goals in a limited time frame.

• Do you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you? Please explain.

  My mom is my role model. She has home-tutored all her kids and her engagement with us as a tutor, and concerned about their final attempts inspires me be a teacher like her. Also, Dr. Kalam, is another source of inspiration. Being a scientist, he himself used to say that teaching is much better profession than being a scientist because as a teacher you are creating the future of science and nation.

• What are your keys to success?

  ​My keys to success are: Goal clarity, focused approach and practice.
