About Badr

I have a working experience of more than 12 years in different domain and for different responsibilities. However, one common aspect of my different experiences is the use of Excel to analyze data for different purposes (Reports, presentations to different committees,..).
I have also successfully completed a 15-hour course of Excel at the NBCC (New Brunswick Community College).
On a personal level, I am a patient and respectful person. I believe that all questions are welcome, and that practice makes better.

About the lesson

My learning approach is a hands-on learning approach. During my classes, and depending on your expectations, I will accompany you to explore and learn the following:
1. Basics of Excel:
• Create, open and navigate a workbook and worksheets.
• Enter data in cells (Text, numbers, date,…).
• Select, resize, format cells.
• Insert and delete rows and columns.
• Save, copy and delete workbooks and worksheets.

2. Format Excel worksheets and cells:
• Font, Font size and alignment of cells.
• Copy and paste format with format painting.
• Customized formatting with conditional formatting.

3. Use formulas and functions to perform calculations and manipulate cell contents:
• Syntax of a formula.
• Explore Excel functions (Excel Library).
• Autofill feature. Relative and absolute cell reference.
• Some advanced functions and formulas: Lookup functions, …

4. Use Excel tables:
• Explore rang of data, table, columns, rows.
• Create a table. Name, rename and format an Excel table.
• Sort and filter data of a table.
• Create and format a Pivot table. Create a pivot chart.

5. Visualize data:
• Create, copy, delete and format charts.
• Move charts to another worksheet or to another MS Office application.
