About Michael
I hold a Bachelor of Performance from Wichita State University and a Master of Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I am finishing my Doctorate at The University of Oklahoma. I have five years of public school teaching experience, and over ten years with private students. My students have gone on to win spots in honors orchestras, receive superior ratings on solos, and earn scholarships to college.

I take a holistic approach to teaching music and violin/viola. I believe in a strong foundation of music knowledge and fundamentals to bring out the highest quality performance from my students. I use a mixture of Delay, Tuttle, and Rolland techniques to help students learn how to use their bodies in coordination with their instruments to make beautiful music and have it look effortless.
