About Nick
Professional trumpet player, graduate of Royal College of Music. Orchestral work includes: Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Sinfonietta. Former academist with London Philharmonic Orchestra.
I have experience in private tuition and exam preparation as well as having studied teaching modules as part of my degree - covering group teaching and workshops for a complete range of ages/abilities. I like to make lessons fun and engaging so that students can enjoy making music and also feel rewarded for this through exams. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and abilities!

I am an experienced teacher of Trumpet (and other brass instruments), Music Theory, Aural Skills and Piano. Typical length of lessons is 30-60 minutes (but can be flexible). I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels, including preparation for Graded Exams across a variety of exam boards. Qualifications are:
Masters of Performance (Distinction) - Royal College of Music
Bachelors of Music (1st Class Honours) - Royal College of Music
Royal College of Music Trumpet Prize
Scholarships from Help Musicians UK, Craxton Memorial Trust, ABRSM, Royal College of Music.
Grade 8 Piano (Distinction)
Grade 8 Trumpet (Distinction)
I am also fully DBS checked. I can also accompany students for exams (up to Grade 6).
