About Ryan
Fundamentally I am a performing musician, but I am also a music educator. I regard myself as a hard-working individual that is committed to the task at hand. I am proactive in my approach to life. I prepare for the next day and plan my duties for the week in a focused and diligent manner. I am also extremely passionate about music and Brass pedagogy, nothing inspires me more than cultivating the next generation of brass players.

My experience of over ten years with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra has honed my ability as a performer and professional. It has given me an all-round perspective of how to lead, manage and teach. As a teacher, I’m currently part-time at the Beau Solei music school in Kenilworth. I teach trombone, tuba, euphonium and Piano.
