About Children's Music
I studied at St. Olaf College for my B.M. in Piano Performance and got my M.M. at Indiana University. Following graduation I moved to Denver where I started a semi-professional choir that I sing in and play piano for. I also perform with various instrumental and choral ensembles in the Denver area.

Familiar with piano method books including Alfred, Faber & Faber, Bastien and more. For advanced students, my specialty is classical music ranging from Bach to Ginastera.
A typical lesson would begin with scales or technical exercises, followed by repertoire and music theory that can be applied to the peices.
I'm a pianist with excellent skills and musicianship who is also interested in developing students as musicians, not just pianists. I take a holistic approach and appreciate students who work hard and try to provide excellent motivation. My specialty is teaching piano classes for young children, but I also enjoy private lessons with students of all levels.
