About My Photography Lessons
I’m a Utah-based professional photographer specializing in real-life storytelling through portraits, couples, and family photography. My teaching style is hands-on, approachable, and focused on helping you capture emotion—not just perfection.
My Teaching Method
I believe the best way to learn photography is by doing. I focus on natural light and real-world shooting situations rather than textbook theory. Whether we’re shooting outside in golden hour or learning to adapt to tricky lighting, my lessons are tailored to your style and goals. I’ll teach you to see light, direct real people (not models), and tell a story with every frame.
A Typical Lesson Includes
• A quick chat about your goals and challenges
• A lesson focus (lighting, posing, camera settings, etc.)
• Live shoot practice or photo review (depending on skill level)
• Feedback, tips, and practical editing pointers (Lightroom or mobile)
• Real examples from my own work and what I’d do differently
What Sets Me Apart
I’m not just teaching how to take a pretty picture—I’m teaching how to connect with people through your lens. I specialize in authentic photography and inclusive representation, especially for clients of color. I also share what it’s really like to work with clients, deliver galleries, and build trust in the photography world.
