About Luís
In addition to being an experienced jazz pianist, having played in many theaters and in the most important clubs in Lisbon (Hotclub de Portugal, Avenew, Café Dias), I have a real passion for teaching, especially when it comes to Ear Training.
At the beginning of my career in music, when I was studying the Classical Piano, I had a lot of difficulties in aurally understanding any piece of music (especially in the melodic dictations).
When I started studying Jazz, I realized that I simply lacked resources to achieve this goal, and from the moment I started to practice them, I improved a lot.
That's why I want to teach and share these methods, to make music learning easier and more fun!

Are you taking music theory classes and don't understand what's going on?
Whenever you have to do a melodic dictation, do you feel lost?
Using tools that I learned in my career as a jazz musician, in addition to a rhythmic method of my own, I help students to develop skills that allow them to perform any of these musical exercises with greater ease.
Despite being extremely important, these methods are rarely taught in conventional classical music teaching. It is a serious gap in the curriculum!
