About George
Hi, I’m George — a professional guitarist, songwriter and music tutor based in the UK.
I’ve been playing guitar for many years and have a Grade 8 Trinity qualification in electric guitar, alongside my degree in Songwriting & Music Performance. I’m also an active songwriter and recording artist, so music isn’t just something I teach — it’s something I’m constantly creating and developing myself.
I’ve gained experience teaching guitar and drums to students aged 5–16, as well as teaching 1-to-1 guitar lessons. I really enjoy helping students discover what they enjoy about music and seeing their confidence grow from lesson to lesson.
My own musical background is mainly rooted in indie, folk and rock, but I’m happy to work with students across different styles and interests. Whether you're completely new to guitar or already have some experience, I’ll always try to make lessons feel relaxed, enjoyable and rewarding.

My lessons are relaxed, fun and completely tailored to each student. Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time, looking to improve your technique, or want to learn how to write your own songs, I’ll help you build your skills while playing music you actually enjoy.
I teach acoustic and electric guitar, covering chords, riffs, scales, solos, rhythm, fingerstyle, music theory and songwriting. We can work towards specific songs, develop your own playing style, or simply build your confidence on the instrument.
I have experience teaching students of different ages and abilities, including younger beginners, and I always try to make lessons encouraging and enjoyable. I also use simple goals and rewards with younger students to keep them motivated and excited about practising between lessons.
As a professional guitarist and songwriter myself, I can also help students who want to take their playing further — from writing- recording their own songs to building confidence!
