Hi, I’m Chris Hobart—a professional musician, performer, and guitar tutor with years of experience in the music industry. I’ve performed across a range of live settings, from intimate acoustic sets to lively party performances and DJ services, as well as being part of the Essex Indie/Folk band Carousel. As a passionate musician, I love sharing my knowledge with others through engaging and tailored guitar lessons. With years of experience as a professional musician—performing alongside artists like Lee Ryan (Blue), Gabrielle Aplin, and Joan Armatrading, as well as being part of the Essex Indie/Folk band Carousel—I bring real-world industry knowledge to every lesson. My approach is tailored to each student, covering everything from fundamental chords and strumming patterns to advanced techniques, live performance skills, and even songwriting. Drawing from my background in live lounge sets, party performances, and acoustic gigs, I ensure that every lesson is practical, inspiring, and focused on helping you play the music you love. Whether you want to strum along to your favourite songs, develop your own unique style, or prepare for live performances, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
