About Heloisa
Professional Violinist and experienced violin teacher - over ten years of teaching experience. Students from various backgrounds, levels of playing and abilities. Learnt from great mentors and distinguished artists throughout the years. Studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London for five years - Master of Arts and Bachelor of Music in Performance. Studies in Switzerland at the University of Arts Bern and at the International Menuhin Music Academy. Is currently the Strings Teacher at Woodhouse Grove School near Leeds, and also works privately with a selection of pupils in London. Regularly prepares pupils for competitions, concerts and ABRSM exams. Her pupils often achieve Distinction in exams.

Lessons are structured differently to each pupil depending on what the next goal is, be it a concert, an exam or simply improving a technical aspect. For an ABRSM exam preparation, normally, I like to start the lesson with scales and arpeggios followed by pieces. Nearer the exam time, and when the pupil is confident with the core repertoire I will add sight-reading and aural training as well. Technical and musical aspects are obviously continually observed.
